Good bye New York

It was not easy to find the best route as we could not take the parkways being often crossed by bridges with clearance down to 10.6ft. The max height of our Motorhome is 10.8ft! Unfortunately there are only general information signs telling “Only cars” or “No trucks” but no detailed information what the lowest clearance on this Parkway would be.

Then we continued to Brookhaven National Labratory where we lived during my fathers sabbatical year in the Lab. It really was exciting to see theses places after I had looked for them on Google maps. On Sunday no Visitor Center in the Lab is open, so also no visitors can come to on site. I am very happy that the Security Officer at the Entrance to the whole Site understood my interest hearing my story and let us through for an short visit just to the housing area. It was a special feeling standing again on the steps to our apartment where my sister and me as kids have liked to play. Thanks to fathers Super8 movies I am quite sure, that we found the right block of three apartments. By leaving after 15min later we relieved the Securities heart.

Einkaufen!! Im Tanger Outlet Center at the end of Highway 495 finden sich für jeden von uns ein paar hübsche bzw. praktische bzw. nützliche Stücke. In this immense shopping temple we especially found some beautifull dress for Barbara!
